Great Moments in Sci-fi

Space Teriyaki.
The couch at the end of the universe.
There will be no place for you upon it.
I'll put it simply.
It is because you do not fit in.

Art by Shusei Nagaoka.

The mechanics of the modern gravity based digestion system.
For diligent and houseproud robots only.
See them. Try them.
They're at your local virtual Waitrose.
You are already there.

Sculpture by Lagarrigue.

In the 1950s the future was always heralded by the plaintive toot of a short barreled but long winded cartoonish trumpet.
Now we are no longer quite so confident.
We suffer in a restless sleep pattern.
Dreams arrive in ink boxes.
Traffic lights turn blue tomorrow.
Loose hands fly free.
This is because the more that time passes,
the more we realise that people do not change.

Art by Yvang.

All words by me.
