I wrote a few days ago about House of the Dragon, S3 Episode 1 being a bit lukewarm and in my opinion muddled and disjointed. I don't regret saying that, but if I thought it was slipping away in quality, action and script content I was proved completely wrong with episode 2. It is a blistering and heartwrenching piece of television fantasy/drama brilliance. No question about that. Everything in it worked ... apart from the daft battlefield song break which I can forgive, due to what went before and what followed. No spoiler alert here as I don't really do that sort of thing. Great stuff.
