Despite all that they did do, this is one thing you can't say the Romans bestowed upon us. Coffee is clearly a very post Columbus treat. Now, most of the modern world spends it's adult life in an everyday fully caffeinated state, one which we think is quite normal. So how old is ice cream Mr Google? I don't think that you can hang this one on the Romans either. I guess that it also depends on what you mean by ice cream.
